Sissy Toumasi was born in Athens, Greece and graduated from the Athens Conservatory Drama School. She is known for the critically acclaimed film "Miss Violence", that won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2013. In 2024 she was named as a Berlinale Talent in Berlin International Film Festival.
